Bhubaneswar: Odia sprinter Dutee Chand wins bronze in women’s 100mt sprint event at Asian Athletics Championships . CM Naveen Patnaik congratulates athlete Dutee Chand for winning bronze.
Chand recorded a timing of 11.52 seconds, while Kazakhstan’s Viktoriya Zyabkin and Olga Safronova took the gold and silver medals with a timing of 11.39 seconds and 11.45 seconds respectively.
Dutee had qualified for the final round of women’s 100m dash after finishing second in the semi-finals (heat two) with a timing of 11.56 seconds . On the other hand Odisha athlete Amiya Kumar Mallick was disqualified after a false start in men’s 100m sprint.
