New Delhi: Dr Monica Das’s book ‘Memoirs and More’ was released on 6th April. The book is woven around the relics and legacy of Vyasa Kavi Fakir Mohan Senapati. Monica Das is the great grand daughter of this legendary figure. The book launch was at the Centre for Social development ,KK Birla Marg, India International Centre, New Delhi. It received rave reviews. The function was presided over by justice Ananga Patnaik, former judge of Supreme court of India.Mr Lalit Mansingh was the chief guest who spoke eloquently.
Key note speaker was eminent prof Delhi univetsity Manoranjan Mohanty who is also director CSD. Mr Gokul Patnaik retd IAS, president Odisha forum and Dr Bulbul Share James were the two discussants. All the speakers were ecstatic about the book and spoke very highly about the author and her style of writing. The book has been hailed very enthusiastically by the cognoscenti and has been spoken of as a historically significant book. Also considered as important for posterity.
Mr Amarendra Khatua former director ICCR hailed the book saying Monica Das’s book ‘Memoirs and More’ is of historical importance and makes for intersting reading .
