District Legal Service Authority goes online, conducts legal awareness on different government welfare programmes

Report by Badal Tah; Rayagada: Responding to the Covid pandemic and orders from state judiciary, District Legal Service Authority(DLSA), Rayagada recently organised a legal awareness on different government welfare programmes online under the moderatorship of Sri Chitta Ranjan Das, District Judge-cum-Chairman, DLSA, Rayagada. Legal luminaries like Secretary-DLSA Sri Manoranjan Mishra, Chairman, Taluk Level Service Committee(TLSC)-Gunupur Sri Ajay Pradhan, Taluk Level Service Committee(TLSC)-Bissam Cuttack Smt Susama Swain, Taluk Level Service Committee(TLSC)-Kashipur Sri Surya Narayan Mohanty & other judicial officers jointly facilitated the process.

Acting as resource persons, senior Govt officers namely ADM Sri Sarat Chandra Panda, PA-ITDA Sri Tuku Barik, DSSO Sri Adipati Kahanr, DSWO Smt Wahida Begum & DLO Smt Jasmine Sahu, through an open discussion, sensitised the lawyers & para-legal volunteers present in the programme and clarified all the questions in a lucid manner. “This on-line awareness created among the lawyers and para-legals will go a long way when their awareness is translated in the ground zero. Nevertheless there is a sense of achievement as far as the programme is concerned. As a strategic combat against Covid-19, more and more such kind of events on-line will be conducted in future to make the judiciary system digital saavy”, said Sri Mishra, Secretary, DLSA, Rayagada.
