Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan urges Foreign Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to open 7 post Office Passport Sewa Kendra in Odisha. He urges Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Minister of External Affairs to open post Office Passport Sewa Kendra in Angul , Berhampur, Balasore , Kendrapada , Bolangir , Jajpur and Bhawanipatna.
“I express my sincere gratitude to you for according sanction for opening three Post Office Passport Sewa Kendra (POPSKs) at Rourkela, Sambalpur and Koraput in Odisha. I am happy to share with you that out of the three sanctioned, the POPSKs at Rourkela and Sambalpur have been inaugurated. The opening of the third centre at Koraput is in the pipeline. There is a demand for issue of passport from various segments i.e large number of Skilled / semi-skilled workforce, students/research scholars, business communities and tourist. Growing need is felt to open additional POPSKs/ (PSK) Passport Sewa Kendra to facilitates expedite issue of passport. I take this opportunity to request you to kindly issue necessary instructions for starting POPSKs/(PSK) at the following locations of Odisha: 1) Angul 2) Berhampur 3) Balasore 4) Kendrapada 5) Bolangir 6) Jajpur 7) Bhawanipatna,” writes Minister Pradhan in his letter.
Minister Pradhan said that the opening of the centre at the above locations will greatly enhance the access to passport services for people residing in these towns and adjoining areas.
