Delhi-based Odia organisation IPROCH elected new office bearers; Suresh Chandra Panda new President

New Delhi:  On 06 Jun 2019 evening,IPROCH met at CSOI, KG Marg under the Chairmanship of it’s President Sri Satyanand Mishra,IAS(retd).Others present were Sri P K Dash, Col(Dr) PC Patnaik, Sri Biswajit Das, Sri Sanjib Mohanty, Sri Sujit Pruseth, Sri Anuroop Onkar and Sri Ramesh Lenka .

The proceedings started with felicitations of Sri P K Dash,IRS on his appointment to the coveted post of Member, CBDT by presenting him a bouquet, an Angvastra and wishing him good luck. In absence of the Secretary, the treasurer,Col (Dr) Patnaik presented the planned road map for the year, i.e. two documentary films on Daskathia and Bharat Leela, research and coffee table book on Kalinga’s maritime/ cultural link with Indonesia and one day function to highlight some rare art forms of Odisha. He also gave a brief on the fund position and optimum utilisation. Mr P K Dash highlighted the provision for mandatory reconstruction of the Committee / office bearers who have completed their tenure .

A vote of thanks was adopted for the outgoing Committee members and named for the new office bearers were welcome. With due proposal and secondment, the following were nominated :- President – Sri Suresh Ch Panda, IAS ( Retd)
Vice President – Sri Biswajit Das & Sri Gajendra Sahu
Secretary – Sri Anuroop Omkar
Jt Secy -Sri Ramesh Lenka
Cultural Secretary – Mrs Lipsa Patnaik Mohanty

All the members presented in the meeting heartily welcomed the new committee . The outgoing President was kind to offer his Defence Colony office for meetings. He also emphasized on continuous efforts to identify and reinvent dying artforms of Odisha and to popularize the same.

It was also decided to tell Mr Santosh Gaur to present the scripts for Daskathia and Bharat Leela within next 20 days to a Committee constituting Sri Satyanand Mishra,Mr P K Dash and Sri Pruseth. Five artists of each of the above art forms would be trained for one month each under a coach under the aegis of IPROCH. One more edition of Odishan to be published containing papers on these two art forms. The meeting concluded happily with dinner.
