Jharsuguda: Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India, is organising inaugural ceremony of automated Jharsuguda Terminal at Malimunda, Jharsuguda on 29th November 2017.
The press briefing was addressed by Indian Oil officials Shri Pitamber Tripathy, GM (MC), Paradip, in presence of Shri S.K Ravi Kumar GM (operation), Shri Achintya Chakraborty CDRSM, Sambalpur DO, Shri Srinivash Patra, Senior Manager Corporate Communication, OSO.
Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship is slated to attend as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony. Shri Niranjan Pujari , Hon’ble Minister of Housing, Urban Development & Industries , Govt of Odisha, Sri Prabhas Kumar Singh , Hon’ble MP Baragarh, Sri Naba Kishore Das , Hon’ble MLA Jharsuguda, and Smt Radha Rani Panda, Hon’ble MLA Brajarajnagar will be the guests of honour.
Accelerated development of the Eastern States is a focus area of the Government of India. The biggest oil terminal of Odisha at Jharsuguda is yet another important milestone for uninterrupted, automated delivery of fuel supply to 10 District of West Odisha– Bargarh, Bolangir, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Kalahandi, Sundergarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur & Nuapada. The terminal at Jharsuguda is part of the Government’s continuing endeavour to build a class & biggest oil terminal in the Odisha.
The State of Automated Terminal at Jharsuguda at a total investment of Rs.140 Crore is having the facilities of Safe and efficient TT Bottom loading facilities, automated Quality and Quantity control, automated Scheduling, and automated Tank Farm management. The project creates in generating enormous employment in Odisha indirectly in terms of haulage & housekeeping, security, maintenance, canteen and TT crew etc.
Total Tank capacity is 49000 Kilo Litre (Coverage 22 days) with 2200 KL per day sale of Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene to cater more than 350 sale points (245 nos ROs, 114 nos consumers and 27 nos SKO agencies ) within a radius of 550 KMs round the year supply.
Similarly, the renovation of Oil depot, Jatani at a cost of Rs 70 crore is enabled for catering 13 districts of Odisha i.e. Angul, Boudh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Khordha, Nayagarh, Puri, Phulbani, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Kalahandi.
These projects receive product through 1069 km length Paradip- Raipur -Ranchi Pipeline at an investment of Rs 1100 crore.
The total investment in the three projects in Odisha is Rs 1310 crore.
