Death toll in #DelhiViolence rises to 24

New Delhi: Death toll rises to 24 as four more — two in Lok Nayak Hospital and two in Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital — succumb to injuries.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said that Army should be called in as Delhi police are not able to control situation.

He said 18 people were killed and over 150 injured amid clashes between pro and anti-citizenship law protesters.

Kejriwal has retracted his earlier statement that Army was not required in the area to control the violence in north Delhi.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the board exams for Class 10 and 12 scheduled for Wednesday in North East Delhi.
