Angul: The students and staff members of DAV-Savitri Jindal High-School situated at Badamahitala, Angul celebrated its Annual Day Function on the evening of 29th Mar, with great gusto and fervor. The function commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief-Guest Mr. Atul Misra, Executive Director (i/c) and Unit Head – Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL), Angul, in presence of Mrs. Puspalata Satapathy, GM-CSR (JSPL), other distinguished guests and community members.
Attending the Function as Chief-Guest, Mr. Atul Misra, said “JSPL, always believes in quality education and this educational institute has proved this by producing good number of scholars in this vicinity. My best wishes are always with these students and I hope they will not only excel in their academic pursuit but also prove them as a responsible citizen in coming days”.
On this occasion, the Annual School Magazine ‘Adyansh’ was also unveiled by the distinguished Guests.
School Principal Mr. Satyanarayan Hota, presented the Annual Report 2017-18 of the School with all gusto and stated how the students of this school brought laurels and made the School and their parents’ proud.
Around 150 students of the school beautifully performed various cultural programmes and Skits to exhibit their talent and interest on various social issues.
Apart from the celebration the winners of different activities conducted by the School were also received several prizes, trophies and certificates of appreciation from the Chief-Guest.
Mrs. Deeptirekha Das, culminated the mesmerized evening with vote of thanks to each and every one for their participation and contribution to make the function a grand success.
