Incidents of violence perpetrated by Left Wing Extremists have been declining consistently over the years. Data for last five years is as under:-

The Government already has a comprehensive National Policy and a multi-pronged action plan to deal with Left Wing Extremism comprising of security related measures, developmental interventions and ensuring rights & entitlements of local communities etc.
This was stated by the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Hansraj Gangaram Ahir in a written reply to question by Shri Naresh Agrawal in the Rajya Sabha today.
