Rourkela: Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited’s Lanjiberna Mines Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) department has been making various efforts for the development in village areas. In this order, Solar Street Lights have been installed in Lanjiberna area. In the evening village roads get submerged in darkness. To avoid accidents caused due to darkness solar street lights have been installed by the company in different places of the villages. This effort will help villagers commute easily at night and to organize various cultural programs in the night. This initiative from Dalmia Cement will help many villages illuminate with light. It is to be noted that more than 200 solar street lights have been installed by the company in various villages including Bihabandh, Bheluadih, Gyanapali, Domposh, Lanjiberna, Khatang, Tungritoli, Alanda, Pelkapada, Merumdega etc.
Villagers have appreciated the initiative of the company. Mr. Saroj Kumar Rout, head of Lanjibarna Mines said that in the coming days with the cooperation of the villagers, Company will further strengthen development of Lanjibarna region.
