Bhubaneswar: Heavy rain continues to lash in Odisha; situation critical in Ganjam, Gajapati, Balasore as several rivers begin to swell; low lying areas inundated in Twin City Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. Many rivers in the state flowing above the danger level. River Rushikulya & Vamsadhara are flowing above the danger level at three places in Ganjam, Gajapati & Rayagada since Thursday 6 pm. Several villages in Ganjam, Gajapti, Rayagada, Puri, Balesore marooned because of flood .
Flood water enters into Baunsalundi, Jamapalli, Gamundi and several areas in Bhanjanagar of Ganjam district; water level flowing above danger mark in Bada and Loharakhandi river; Lathipada-Shergad road & bridge on Badagada Jarau River washed away.
