CRPF DG meets Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik

 

Bhubaneswar: CRPF DG R R Bhatnagar met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here today at the state secretariat. He highly appreciated the efforts of the Odisha police in checking Maoists activists in the state.

Bhatnagar said Maoists are formulating strategies to challenge security forces and attempting to halt various development works in border areas. The CRPF is making elaborated arrangements to counter their plan.

Bhatnagar took stock of security arrangements in Koraput district yesterday after making an unscheduled visit. He visited the 202 CoBRA Battalion stationed at Sunabeda before chairing a security review meeting at the DIG’s office in Koraput.

Odisha DGP K B Singh, IG (Operation) RP Koche, CRPF IG (Bhubaneswar) Kamalanat Sharma, South-Western Range DIG S. Saini, Koraput Superintendent of Police (SPs) Kanwar Vishal Singh and SPs of Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Rayagada and Nuapara also attended the review meeting.
