Bhubaneswar : Renowned Community Media Specialist N. A. Shah Ansari has been elected as National President of Community Radio Association, India. Today during Annual meeting of the association Mr Ansari was elected in unanimous decision of the members from different states at New Delhi. Since more than a decade Mr Ansari is closely associated with community media sector & working hard for setting up community radios & its sustainability in different states of India. In his able leadership the first community radio of Odisha, Radio Namaskar is established & running effectively at Konark and received National Community Radio Award twice. He is also leading the state wide campaign ‘MissionCR314’ to establish community radios in each block of Odisha. He is a known face in different South Asian countries as an effective community media Guru. Since early student hood Mr Ansari is involved in community development activities & has bagged several national & international awards like National Youth Award, Indira Gandhi NSS Award, International Community Participation Award etc. He has planned to open an National Institute for Community Media at Konark soon.
