Talcher : Pralhad Joshi, Hon’ble Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines, on Thursday laid the foundation stone of a Water Park here at Hingula Area in Talcher coalfields of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL).
Accompanied by Shri Minister of State for Rail, Coal and Mines Shri Raosaheb Patil Dhanve, the Coal Minister laid the foundation stone of “Shramik Gaurav Jal Udyaan” in the presence of Chairman Coal India Limited Shri Pramod Agrawal, MCL’s Chairman-cum-Managing Director Shri PK Sinha, Director (Technical/Operations) Shri OP Singh, Director (Finance) Shri KR Vasudevan and Director (Personnel) Shri KR Vasudevan.
The water park, located adjacent to Gandhi Sagar lake, will be developed initially in five acres of reclaimed land of the coal mine.
