Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurates the State Credit Seminar at Hotel Swosti. CM Patanaik appreciated NABARD’s role in accelerated development process of Odisha and economic empowerment of farmers and different sections of rural people. The National bank has projected a total credit demand of ₹71,419 crore under priority sectors for the year 2018-19 of which ₹38,378 crores will be for agriculture sector. Besides extending credit linkage to various priority sectors, NABARD is actively involved in tribal development, watershed and climate change resilience projects in the state.
CM Naveen Patnaik urged further expansion of interventons in partnership wth state Government for agriculture development, rural infrastructure and various other critical gap funding. Also emphasized more proactive role of banks in meeting credit demand of the state.
