Bhubaneswar: As part of Industry Care initiative, Shri Asit K. Tripathy, Chief Secretary, Odisha and Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary, Industries Department, Government of Odisha interacted with Industry leaders in Odishaon various issues related to Industries this week. Secretaries of various departments concerned with industrial matters were also present.
The Industry Leaders from Vedanta Ltd. Tata Steel, Kalinga Nagar, Tata Steel BSL, Tata Steel SEZ, T S Alloys Ltd. Aditya Aluminium, Ultratech Cement Ltd., Grasim Industries Ltd. Chemical Division, Emami Paper Mills Ltd., JK Paper Mills, Jindal Stainless Ltd., Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. SMS India Pvt. Ltd. were present at the session. Various issues of the industries in Odisha, ranging from policy related issues, water allocation, infrastructure, material transportation and local law and order problem were discussed.
Sri. Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary, Industries made opening remarks and provided an overview of the industries present at the meeting.
Sanjay Singh, CMD, IDCO enlightened about the plan for water supply, parking facility and setting up Industrial Township. He also defined the state’s plan for Skilling local youths with joint venture with JNTVTI or similar model training institute at Industrial zone.
Chief Secretary Govt. of Odisha instructed various secretaries to work on:
Ø Takingsteps to boostair, rail and road connectivity.
Ø Facilitating on raw material security, coal linkage facilities, better water supply facilities and monitoring of transport association may be taken care by concern departments.
Ø Working on ways to improve water and energy services to the Industries.
Ø Preparing one pager for each industry by Industries dept with all its issues and resolution mechanism.
