Dharamgarh: Mr Ram Sevak Paikra, Home Minister, Government of Chhattisgarh, today inaugurated Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sammelan organised by Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) at Dharamgarh in tribal-dominated Kalahandi district of Odisha.
Mr Paikra, who was chief guest on the occasion, also addressed people on the occasion and informed them about achievements of the Central government in the past three years.
Large number of people, including women and children, from neighboring areas gathered here at Utsav Ground to attend the Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sammelan.
Cultural performances by local artists and folk dances add traditional colours to the Sammelan.
A film in Odia language on the achievements of the Central government in the past three years was also screened at the Sammelan, organised by the leading coal producing company of Government of India having operations in Odisha.
MCL, the highest contributor to Odisha under CSR, also showcased its initiatives for socio-economic development of underprivileged segments of society through a film, which were appreciated by the people.
