Chhattisgarh Chief Minister commences Godhan Nyay Yojana

Raipur: Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel commenced Godhan Nyay Yojana for the state by symbolically purchasing 48 kg dung from four farmers at his residence today. Chief Minister paid Rs 96 to the farmers against the purchase. These farmers had come from village Navagaon of Abhanpur block in Raipur district. On the occasion, Chief Minister purchased dung from Farmers namely Mr. Krishna Kumar Chakradhari, Mr. Pilu Ram Dhruv, Mr. Sevak Ram Sahu and Mr. Shiv Narayan Sahu of Navagaon, on behalf of Chhattisgarh Women Self-Help Group.

Chief Minister made the entry of the transaction in the register of Gauthan Samiti, and gave away the dung sale card to the seller farmers. This card given to farmers will be used to maintain daily record of the dung sold.

These farmers from Abhanpur thanked Chief Minister for commencing Godhan Nyay Yojana, and said that this scheme will prove beneficial for the farmers and small-scale cattle ranchers. Hareli was celebrated with zeal and fervor at CM House today, and all the customary rituals were performed. It is the tradition of Hareli Festival that farmers and women of their families gift vegetables from their farms to the elderly of the family. Jai Dharti Ma Women Self Help Group Head Mrs. Durga Bai Chakradhari, Mrs. Lakshmi Dhruv, Mrs. Arti Sahu and other members of the group gifted vegetables to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
