Chaitra Poornima Celebration Organized by the Art of Living Bhubaneswar Centre

Bhubaneswar: The full moon day that falls in the month of Chaitra is known as Chaitra Purnima. According to the Hindu traditional lunar calendar, Chaitra is the first month of the year and therefore an auspicious beginning is thought to bring prosperity and joy throughout the year.

The Chaitra Poornima celebration, organized by the Art of Living Bhubaneswar Centre was attended by a large number of people who got the opportunity to be a part of Guru Puja and Trayambakam Homa (Samuhik Homa & 108 Mahamritunjay mantra chanting). The profound effect of India’s traditional Vedic practice has to be seen to be believed. Therefore, this occasion helped the present generation to connect deeply with the tradition and values that are fast eroding or getting lost due to lack of learned practitioners and seekers. It has been the constant endeavor of Sri Sri Ravishankar to help us connect to our inner self by imbibing the traditions of our rich cultural and spiritual heritage. The large congregation of people during the Chaitra Poornima celebration proved beyond doubt that the quest for experiencing spiritual bliss remains foremost in the minds of people inspite of the hectic pace of life.

The evening was filled with the spiritual strains of divine music during the Satsang, performed by members of the Art of Living family. It was followed by Full Moon Meditation which is known to have a beneficial effect on those who meditate. It is a great way to harness the power of nature in order to heal one’s own mind, body, and soul.

The evening culminated by partaking of Prasaad by all those present for the celebration.
