Centurion University of Odisha, observed 71st Independence Day

Bhubaneswar: Centurion University of Orissa, observed 71st Independence Day in a befitting manner at its charismatic campus at Bhubaneswar and Paralakhemundi. Prof. Haribhandu Panda, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor unfolded the tricolor and addressed the staff, and students at Bhubaneswar Campus. While addressing he pointed out some of the important achievement of the Centurion University of Orissa including infrastructure development, quality of higher education, student’s welfare and academic administration. He urged the University community to solve the challenges before the nation and to dedicate ourselves for the sake of national unity.

Prof. Panda in his address to the students remind about the price the martyrs has paid for the freedom of the country. He also elaborates current challenges face by our country and how University can be an answer to it. Prof. Panda said in his address “It’s a divided republic, we have division across the country, division of langue, division of region and many others. We have to find the inequality in our society and also have to find how this inequality can be removed from our society.” He said “We must think of innovative measure so that more and more students can come to the University”.

He also proudly informed that the University has successfully started it new campus at Vizag. Which will be helpful for students across all campus to get more industry exposer.

33 students along with 4 staff/faculty visited Bhabagrahi Model School for the Sightless, Kharavel Nagar, Bhubaneswar (Working for the Cause, Care & Concern of the Sightless people of Odisha) and spent two hours with the inmates. We have contributed an amount of Rs. 10,000/- along with lots of sweets, biscuits, chocolates and food items to the inmates.
