Report by Bhaskar Pradhan; Bhubaneswar: To prevent the violence and sexual abuse, to promote their legal and social rights in the society for the children and their bright future State level child right organisation named centre for child and women development (CCWD) in collaboration with Action aid Bhubaneswar organised an awareness Drive on the occasion of world day preventing child abuse & on the eve of child right week here today at Niladri Vihar Under ward no 14 . More than 40 members of child club attended in the awareness drive. Speaking in the occasion CCWD secretary Sadasiv swain said we have to develop a child friendly slum in where no such child labour, child abuse, child beggar, and no such early child marriage before18 years. Need to change of mind set of parents and stake holders are most essential said Mr. Swain. The members visited door to door and gave a clarion call to the slum dwellers to join hands for the betterment of children. The programme coordinated by Debabrata mahunta, Child club Mamata Nayak and others. Notable that the centre for child and women development observes week long activities since last 20 years in different slum pocket’s for the promotion and protection of child rights .
