Bhubaneswar: Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report was tabled in Odisha Assembly on Monday by Finance Minister Shashi Bhusan Behera. The CAG report included the audit reports on Public Sector Units (PSUs), Economics and Revenue sector, General and Social sector.
As per the CAG Reports, Odisha Mining Corporation Limited (OMC) recorded shortfall in production of 114.44 lakh metric tonne of iron ore and 2.70 lakh metric tonne chrome ore during 2012-17 which could have resulted in revenue of Rs 1838.98 crore during 2012-17.
“Out of 56 working Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) in the state, 35 PSUs earned profit of Rs 2028cr and 15 PSUs incurred loss of Rs 507cr,” said the CAG Report.
The report further revealed the underassessment of Motor Vehicle Tax and other irregularities involving Rs 86.56cr in 1,15,532 cases.
