BSNL incurred losses of around Rs 93 crore due to Cyclone Fani in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has incurred losses of around Rs 93 crore due to Cyclone Fani in the State. According to its preliminary report, the BSNL’s highest trail of damage has occurred in Bhubaneswar and Puri cities.

Normalcy would be restored in Bhubaneswar in next three days, said BSNL State CGM Udaya Shankar Panda. He informed that a total of 1,732 towers were damaged out of which 57 uprooted in Bhubaneswar only.

Out of 6,000 Optical Fiber Telecommunications (OFT), which were installed recently in Bhubaneswar, 4,000 have been damaged in the city.
