Kalahandi: Breach in Indravati canal; 100 acres of land submerged. As per the latest report nearly hundred acre of agricultural land in the Paraja Nagafeni area of Jayapatna block in Kalahandi district was inundated due to artificial floods following 7.5-feet wide breach in the embankment of the left main canal of the Indravati Dam on Wednesday.
Indravati dam authorities rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation. Sandbags were dumped at the breach in order to resist the water flow towards agricultural land.
