Sambalpur: Mr B P Sharma, ITS, has assumed additional charge of the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited.
Mr Sharma, an Indian Telecommunication Service (ITS) officer of 1999 batch, took over as the CVO here on Saturday.
Presently the CVO of Bilaspur (CG)-based sister subsidiary South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) and also holding additional charge of Nagpur-based subsidiary Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), Mr Sharama has served at important positions in Maharashtra, Meghalaya and Gujarat and has got expertise in communication system and telecommunication.
