BMC Launched Jan Sampark Divas: 168 issues registered in 12 Sub Zones on the launching day

Bhubaneswar : Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation today launched its citizen centric drive Jan Sampark Divas in 12 locations. Total 168 nos of grievances registered in 12 sub zones of BMC. For operation of the Jan Sampark Divas 12 nos of senior officers, Ward Officers of various wards, all community organisers, sanitary inspectors, electrical and civil engineers attended this public hearing programme.
Citizens across the city knocked BMC door today for various civic issues including drainage, street lights, sanitation and pension benefits. Grievances were registered in the unique grievance register format developed special for the Jan Sampark Divas which can easily be tracked. There will be a review by the Commissioner of BMC regarding analysis of grievances and concerns registered in the JSDs. The review is scheduled on 18th January where all the nodal officers and other concern shall join.
Apart from grievance one important point observed during the hearings at JSD that some registered Resident Welfare Association members also attended the programme with their resolutions.
The Jan Sampark shall be conducted on 1st and 16th of every month, however if there is a holiday the hearing will be on next working day.
In various zones Deputy Commissioner Srimanta Mishra, all 3 nos of Zonal Deputy Commissioners, City Engineer and other Deputy Commissioners were present. BMC Commissioner and Additional Commissioner monitored the programme.
It may be noted that the next hearing is scheduled on 1st January which falls on the New Year Day 2018.
