BJP leaders,workers of Odisha observed a daylong fast

Bhubaneswar: Leaders and workers of the BJP State unit observed a daylong fast in front of the party office here on Thursday over the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) nationwide protest against the washout of the recently concluded Budget Session of Parliament.

BJP national vice-president Om Prakash Mathur, Odisha in-charge Arun Singh, State BJP president Basanta Panda, leader of BJP Legislature Party KV Singhdeo, State vice-president Samir Mohanty and several other State functionaries and party workers joined the protest.

Padampur MLA Pradip Purohit said he would observe the daylong fast in the State Assembly protesting the continuous disruptions of on-going State Assembly session and washout of the recent Budget Session of Parliament.

Union Tribal Minister Jual Oram observed a day-long fast along with BJP activists at the district headquarters of Sundergarh. In other places also party workers and leaders held similar protests across the State.
