BJP alleged Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik efficient in collecting awards to save BJD

Bhubaneswar: The BJP on Monday alleged that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is only “efficient” in collecting awards to save his BJD as its popularity is waning by the day. This was said by the BJP spokesperson Pitambar Acharya.

Acharya said as the popularity of the BJD is diminishing, the Chief Minister is collecting awards and spending crores of rupees through advertisements for self-propaganda.

Acharya said that after being awarded by the ‘Outlook’, the Chief Minister purchased thousands of copies of the magazine and distributed them among people and put up large hoardings spending crores of rupees for self promotion.

“There are many colleges which felicitate leaders from the outside the State every year.

Now, the Chief Minister has collected a certificate of ideology from the MIT College, Pune in Maharashtra and is promoting self,” Acharya alleged further.

He said the Chief Minister’s ideology is also proved from the fact that multinational companies like Posco, Mittal, Ruia groups have returned from the State after being unable to set up industries due to the inefficiencies of the BJD Government.

He said prevailing of large-scale unemployment and non-creation of irrigation system during the last 18 years also reflect the CM’s ideology.
