BJP alleged BJD workers assaulted former Odisha CM Giridhar Gamang during Nagada visit

Bhubaneswar: The BJP on Thursday alleged that some BJD workers assaulted its leader and former Chief Minister Giridhar Gamang while he was going to Jajpur district’s Nagada village to make a study on the malnutrition deaths.
“While the State Government claims to have resolved malnutrition problems in Nagada, the recent death of a two-year-old girl, Manasi, indicates about the reality. To make an on-the-spot study, a team led by Giridhar Gamaj was going to the village, when some BJD workers attacked him,” alleged BJP vice-president Sameer Mohanty at a Press meet here on Thursday.

He further alleged that the attack on Gamang was sponsored by the State Government as the ruling party has been frustrated losing people’s trust. He said the BJP would continue to fight for the interest of tribal and poor people.
