Report by Akshya Rourt; Jajpur: Dealing a big blow to the Congress, Biswa Ranjan Mallick, the youth leader of Bari,on Saturday joined the BJP in presence of Union
petroleum and natural gas minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Speaking on the occasion, the Union minister said the joining of Mr
Mallick had strengthened BJD in Jajpur district.
“Biswa Ranjan is strong and dynamic youth leader. He will be an asset
for our party. The Congress had done a great injustice to him by
denying ticket to him in 2014 polls. It was a blessing in disguise for
him,” said Mr Pradhan.
The minister said people of Odisha wanted a change under the
leadership of Narendra Modi and Biswa Ranjan will be one of the change
agents here.
Biswa Ranjan thanked the people of Bari for reposing faith in him and
said he would not let them down in the coming days.
“With the blessings of Bari people, we have got majority Bari block
and I hope the people will continue to shower their love on us,” said
Mr Mallick.
Minister Mr Pradhan was taken in procession from Chhattia to Bari
Ramanchardrapur ground where thousands of people had gathered to see
the joining ceremony.
