bigbasket urges people to contribute for flood hit people of Kerala and other states

 

Bangalore: Kerala is reeling under a terrible flood situation which has already claimed more than 300 lives and left lakhs of people stranded. People are finding it increasingly hard to access food and basic amenities. In the light of this, bigbasket has joined hands with Goonj to offer an avenue to people for helping those affected by the floods. People can support Goonj’s initiative, called Rahat Floods, by contributing with an essential kit from the website or app. bigbasket will also be donating 20% of all individual contributions.

bigbaskteers can choose to buy any of the bundle packs available: Bundle pack 1 includes rice, sugar, and toor dal; bundle pack 2 has biscuits, rusk, tea, water, tooth paste, and sanitary napkins; and bundle pack 3 consists of rice, sugar, dal, sanitary napkins, biscuits, rusk, tea, tooth paste, and water. There are also two multi packs: multi pack 1 for INR 500 and above including rice, sugar, dal, sanitary napkins, biscuits, rusk, tea, tooth paste, and water; and multi pack 2 for INR 1000 and above including rice, sugar, dal, sanitary napkins, biscuits, rusk, tea, tooth paste and water.

Speaking about this, Mr. Hari Menon, Co-Founder and CEO, bigbasket, said, “The situation in Kerala has turned into a natural calamity and the state needs its fellow citizens.
