Bhubaneswar : Beauty & Wellness Sector skill council, organised an exclusive Job fair for the beauty and wellness professional at Nilanchal Polytechnic, Bhubaneshwar in association with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). Trained and certified Beauty Professionals, Hair Stylists, Makeup Artists, Yoga and Fitness professional, Nail Technicians & Spa Therapists participated in the job fair. The job fair was inaugurated eminent political members of the region and members of the Beauty and wellness industry. In this occasion guests on the dais were Pitambar Acharya, Senior advocate and BJP spokesperson, Saroj K Sahu, MD & Secretary, Neelanchala Polytechnic, Bhola Nath from Art Of Living and Mr. Ratnakar Panigrahi, NSDC.
This is the first of its kind Job fair organised by the council in this region. More the 20 esteemed employers from Beauty & Wellness industry including on line portals participated in the job fair. The list of employers include renowned organisations Aroma Magic, VLCC, Indulge, Talwarkars, Budha Spa & Salon, Iris, CavinKare, Naturals, O2 Spa to name a few. The full day event had more than 1000 candidates from B&WSSC training partners and also walk ins participating in the job fair.

With the success of this event, we hope to increase the frequency of these fairs to help in placements of our pass-outs.”

The government of Odisha has been working aggressively in skilling the youth of the state through their various schemes. This job fair was an endeavour to facilitate placements of these candidates.
The Indian Beauty & Wellness Industry is growing at a CAGR of 18.6%. The employment in this sector is growing at a CAGR of 20% with 23% in the organised and 15% in the unorganised market. The demand of the beauty and wellness professionals is the one the largest in this region
Events like this will go a long way in bridging the huge demand and supply gap in beauty & wellness domain. This recruitment drives prove to be a remarkable platform to make the right candidates reach the right employers and vice –a – versa.
