Report by Kahnu Nanda, Jagatsinghpur: The 130th birth anniversary of late Baba Sahib Ambedkar was celebrated in district headquarters here on Wednesday. State I & PR and water resources minister Raghunanda Das attended the event as chief guest accompanying collector Sangram Keshari Mohapatra, superintendent of police Prakash R,Tirtol MLA Bijaya Shankar Das, state Cashew development corporation chairman Amarendra Das, Jagatsinghpur block chairperson Bijaya Laxmi Behera, Tahasildar Manas Ranjan Bhoi, sub collector Dharmendra Mallick and DIPRO Kaminiranjan Patnaik and members from district SC/ST welfare employees and officers association. Minister Das was paid flora tribute at Ambedkar statue locates outside collector office here. Speaking on the occasion minister Das lauded late Ambedkar’s contribution articulating constitution of India and he was a champion of Dalit community.
