Bhubaneswar: Art vision team, lead by Ileana CItaristi, has been invited to perform in Portugal by the Indian Embassy at Lisbona for the celebration of 70 years of India Independence. The group will present Siddhartha, an Odissi-Mallakhamb choreography , based on the famous book by Herman Hesse.
The Odia lyrics has been penned by famous Odia poet Devdas Chhotray and music has been composed by Annada Prasanna Patnaik. The performances will take place at Lisbona on the 29th of October, Porto on the 31st and Lagos on the 2 nd of November. The cast includes besides senior dancers of Art Vision Saswat Joshi , Anindita Parida, Minati Mohapatra, Upasana Mohanty, Sagarika Mohanty, Mousumi Mohaptra , Anjana Menon and Dibya Supakar, also Mallakhamb artsts from Puri belonging to Fate Fighters group led by Gyana Mohanty. Choreography is by Padmashree awardee Ileana CItaristi. The tour is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
