Lanjigarh: Vedanta Limited Lanjigarh under its Corporate Social Responsibility program has organised a health camp at the Ashram School at Shibapadar under Shibapadar Panchayat in Muniguda block of Rayagada district today. Mr Kameswar Naik , Head Master of Ashram School,Shibapadar inaugurated the health camp in the presence of local villagers and VL officials and others.
Mr Naik,HM of Ashram school welcome Vedanta for its activity towards extending support with providing free medical treatment .
A Total of 360 patients including school children attended the camp for health check-ups and received treatment as well as medicines with free of cost. 205 are male patients and 155 are female. The patients had come from areas like Drukulima,Station Dahikhal,Bada Dahikhal . Dr Saroj Mishra , Dr Goutam Jena ,Pharmacist Atanu Mahapatra & Lab Technician with their team attended to the patients. Students from Ashram School along with Shibapadar high school also given free medical treatment and check-up.
Along with treatment and distribution of medicines, special awareness drive was also made on malaria and malnutrition. PVO, a non-profit organization who has been taking care of operation and maintenance of Vedanta Hospital based at Lanjigarh has successfully organized the health camp.
