Tikiri: Utkal Alumina International Ltd. Doraguda, a unit of Aditya Birla Group in Kashipur Block of Rayagada district is taking adequate measures to tackle this pandemic of COVID 19 in coordination with local community and local administration. UAIL is constantly working along with all stakeholders to fight this out with all proper preventive measures. Along with preparedness to fight it in our medical centers, inside the Utkal Premises while abiding by all the central government and state government norms, we keep working every day for safeguarding our people in and around our factory from this Pandemic COVID 19.
UAIL is taking every possible step in nearby villages to create awareness by announcing the precautionary measure and distributing leaflets and masks everywhere.
Currently spraying of Sodium Hypochlorite solution has been planned and executed in few villages. The spraying has started in Tikiri village on 26th March 2020, in continuation Nuapada square will be done on 27th March and Kashipur on 28th. Subsequently the same will be done in other places . In view of various such activities under our CSR activities, the Unit Head and President, UAIL Mr. N. Nagesh, has told that “UAIL is constantly working to keep everyone safe and for this every day we are taking a various initiative along with the district administration to make sure people in and around the factory is taken care and proper hygiene is being maintained. Further our Utkal Hospital has been taken over by District Administration for institutional quarantine and treatment of COVID 19. UAIL will extent every possible support to make sure we fight this pandemic together. We have been and will continue working with the district administration and local community to battle out COVID-19”, adds Mr Nagesh.
