Since yesterday, 106 new #Covid19 cases reported, 6 new deaths, Govt trying to identify hot spots: Health Ministry

New Delhi: Since yesterday, 106 new Covid19 cases have been reported and six new deaths says Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary of the Health Ministry.

Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary of the Health Ministry, says, “The total number of cases has risen to 979, while there have been 25 deaths so far. There has been an increase of 106 cases in the last 24 hours and 6 deaths were reported in taht duration from 6 different states. Emerging hot spots of the virus are now our focus.”

Secretary, Health Ministry, spoke to state secretaries of health and said the existing COVID-19 hospitals should not take in other patients. Meanwhile, the process of manufacturing and procuring materials for personal protective equipment has started, says Lav Agarwal. “We have ramped it up. Yesterday, we received a shipment from outside,” he adds.
