Bhubaneswar: “SARGIFUL”, the State Level Students’ Festival started in the year
2010 with an objective to explore the hidden talent of ST & SC Students
reading in the ST & SC Development Department Schools. The Participating
Students & Teachers get an opportunity to interact with each other during
the festival and disseminate & propagate the messages among the students in
their area after they returned for the festival.
This year, “SARGIFUL” is going to celebrate its 10th Anniversary.

Welfare inaugurated “SARGIFUL” the State Level Students’ Festival today.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Advisor Special Development
Council Sri Sujit Kumar, Advisor, Minorities Affairs Munna Khan, Principal
Secretary Smt. Ranjana Chopra, Director (ST) Sri Sachin Ramchandra
Yadav, Director, SCSTRTI Prof. Dr. A. B. Ota.
“SARGIFUL”-2019 will be held for 3 days; from 19th – 21st
December 2019 at Adivasi Exhibition Ground, Unit-I, Bhubaneswar. 867
Students and 138 Teachers from Sevashrams, Ashram Schools, High
Schools, Higher Secondary Schools, EMRS & Education Complexes under
the ST & SC Development Department of the state have participated.
District Level Events were organized during the month of Nov-20 19 to
select and sponsor the best ones in each competition to participate in the
State Level Event.
There are thirty workshops like Creative Dance, Wall-Painting,
Photography, Magic, Odishi Dance, Creative Writing, Best of Wastes,
Science Games, Math Games, Lamp Shade, Straw Craft, Paper Mache,
Puppetry, Screen Painting & Fabric Printing, Poster Development, Child
Reporter, Tribal Painting, Terracotta Jewellery, Instrumental Music, Theatre,
Self Defence Training and Meet the Personality etc to be held every day in
fore-noon session, separately for Senior and Junior Group students.
Similarly, 17 competitions, such as Debate in Odia, Math Quiz,
Science Quiz, General Quiz, Solo Song, Solo Dance, Creative Writing,
Painting, Instrumental Music, Elocution, Open Slogan, Quiz Competition,
Mono Act play etc, will be organized on 19th & 20th Dee, 2019 from 2.30
PM to 4.30 PM for both Senior & Junior groups. Group Cultural show
categorized as tribal & non-tribal will be staged by the Students in each
evening for entertainment.
Science Exhibition & Volley-Ball Competition are also the parts of
the event during Sargiful-2019. Felicitation Ceremony for the best
performing students & high schools will be held during the “SARGIFUL” –
2019. 101 Students and 50 High Schools based on the performance of
Annual HSC Exam, 2019 were felicitated.
All sorts of arrangements like food, lodging, transport and
entertainment have been made by the ST & SC Dev. Department for
successful organization of the Event.
