Bhubaneswar: Paralakhemundi king & two-time MP Gopinath Gajapati Narayan Deo passes away at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Narayan Deo, was born on March 6, 1943 and was a member of the 9th and 10th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Berhampur constituency and was a member of the Indian National Congress political party. He later joined BJP and shifted to Biju Janata Dal in 2009.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday expressed grief over the demise of Paralakhemundi king Gopinath Gajapati Narayan Deo.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Patnaik stated that Deo represented Berhampur parliamentary constituency twice in the Lok Sabha. He also considered his death to be a “great loss for Odisha”.
