Bhubaneswar: The MoU for construction of Kalahandi Medical College & Hospital was signed by State Health and Family Welfare Department & Vedanta Limited in presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik The 100-seat medical college & 500-bed hospital will go a long way in ensuring quality healthcare for the people of Kalahandi & adjoining districts.
CM Shri Patnaik reiterated Government’s commitment to provide affordable and comprehensive healthcare services to the people of Odisha. Nine new medical colleges are being set up that will ensure quality healthcare & resolve issue of shortage of doctors in the state.
He directed Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha to expedite works and operationalize the medical college and hospital well in time for benefit of the people.
