Khallikote Art and Crafts College 1995-2000 batch organises unique Teachers-Students Meet

Bhubaneswar: Students of Khallikote Art and Crafts College 1995-2000 batch (Khallikotian) organised Friends Meet for the first time on 20th October 2019 after 19 years of their educational career. This one of its kind Friends’ Meet was not only a get-together but also a unique occasion where both students along with their respected teachers celebrated the occasion together. All the students of this batch are well-established now and it is a matter of pride for the teachers as well. The ideology of each and every teacher of the college motivated the students and nurtured their lives to be a good human being in the society, Khallikotian said.

On this occasion, each member of Khallikotian shared their journey of 19 years after completing the course of five years (1995-2000) and how the teaching methods at college played an important role to excel in their personal and professional field. In order to create more memoire they also sought blessings of the teachers. In order to maintain this discipline in life, the Khallikotian have expressed their happiness to take their teachers ideologies to next generations also. In coming year, the group is planning to organise an Art and Craft Exhibition in college premises and undertake various developmental works including Bal Bhojan, Plantation etc. Apart from that, they promised to stand together for each other during crisis of any of the members of the group Khallikotian and shall extend their hands in providing financial assistance to each other.

The group also declared, every year an ideal and senior art guru will be felicitated with ‘Khallikotian Award’ on behalf of the Khallikotian group.

The ceremony was attended by eminent art gurus of the state including Guru Dr. Durga Prasad Das, Dr. Alekh Charan Sahoo, Laxmikant Mahapatra, Bijay Kumar Mahapatra, Bipin Chandra Sethi, Nigamananda Swain, Panchanan Sura, Pramod Kumar Mallick, Purna Chandra Das, Subrat Mallick, Srinivas Padhiary etc. as Chief Guests and were felicitated by Khallikotian.
