Foundation stone laid for Jagatsinghpur Kendriya Vidyalaya building

Report by Kahnu Nanda, Jagatsinghpur: The union Human Resource Development [HRD] minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Friday laid the foundation stone of Kendriya Vidyalaya [KV] Jagatsinghpur through video conferencing from New Delhi. Coinciding the event a function was organized at proposed KV site near Sampur village six km away from here, Jagatsinghpur MP Dr Rajashree Mallick lit inaugural lamp and opened the ceremony.

Assistant commissioner KVS Bhubaneswar Jyothy Kumar spelled out welcome address at gathering, Jagatsinghpur KV principal A K Pradhan speaking on the occasion revealed complete feature of the proposed Jagatsinghpur KV building would be cost Rs 24 Crores with equipped e- class room, advanced model science laboratory, library, playground, and all modern infrastructures, the proposed building would be provided 45 class rooms facilitate 1200 students, the construction works have been assigned to NPCC a central government enterprises and 15 months’ time limit has been fixed to complete construction, Principal Pradhan informed. Moreover principal extended gratitude to the Jagatsinghpur district administration providing land all logistic and administrative supports for the proposed KV building.

Jagatsinghpur Collector cum chairman of VMC Sangram Keshari Mohapatra speaking on the occasion discussed children and parents correlation for imparting education and he appealed parents and guardians spending times with children for development of their moral and ethical values.

MP Dr Mallick described children were Nation builders so they must be given good education and schooling for up building their carrier, as KV is guided and controlled by union government she will take care its difficulties if raised , MP assured.

A colorful cultural programme was followed by KV children after the meeting attended by parents, guardians of students and local people, A K Mishra cluster I/C principal proposed vote of thanks.
