Bhadrak: During this nation wide lock down and crisis situation, special awareness programme is broadcast in daily basis in Bhadrak city based Radio Bulbul, a community radio in association with Salaam Jeevan. Social Activist Md. Imran Ali appeals the people to stay at home and obey the government guidelines to fight the virus. Similarly, appeal is made to exhibit humanity by taking care of animals and birds around us by providing them food. The concern for persons with disabilities, elderly citizens and economically poor is raised and people are appealed to be kind and sympathetic for the weaker groups during this Covid19 crisis, added Imran. We have been running this programme named ‘Kar Bhala Toh Ho Bhala’ since three years in every Sunday but now we have made this programme in daily basis because of the call of hour, says Mohammad Niyaz, Director of the radio. For larger public awareness, the programme is also tuned in social media sites including facebook live and keeping the larger listeners in view, the radio talk can be listened by downloading from play store. We are trying to reach people with the messages by using digital platform that adds value to social distancing remarked Saikh Riyaz, the coordinator of the episodes. This Programme is highly appreciated in the community.
