Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police Arrested 18 people Over Violence At Market Building In Bhubaneswar. Police have also seized five motorbikes.
It should be noted that Panic gripped the Market Building area in the city on Friday evening when a group of hooligans wearing masks went on a rampage ransacking many shops and attacking vendors.
According to reports, 20 to 25 armed miscreants arrived at the marketplace at around 6.30 pm and started vandalising makeshift food and stationary item stalls. They also thrashed several vendors before fleeing the spot.
Some injured shopkeepers were admitted to the Capital Hospital. Though the reason behind the attack was yet to be ascertained, it was suspected that the incident might have been a fallout of a dispute between a vendor and a buyer which had taken place on Thursday.
