Cleanness Drive ‘Swachhagraha’ campaign by Adani Foundation; More than 11,000 students took oath

 

Dhamra: More than 11,000 students from 195 schools of Bhadrak district took oath to clean up the environment through Swachhagraha campaign organised by Adani Foundation. This oath taking ceremony was organised at Karanpalli High School playground. In the first phase, the campaign will cover 72 schools of eight Panchayat of Dhamra Port periphery villages and 125 schools of Bhadrak district have been slotted. To keep the environment sparkling is the main objective of this campaign.

Swachhagraha inspired by one of the largest mass movement- “Satyagraha” catalysed actions by winning over people’s heart through tremendous patience and perseverance, instilling in the Indian mind, dignity and self respect. It was a freedom movement of the people, by the people and for the people.

A Swachhata wall has been set up and art and essays of the students are being consigned over there. Cycle rally, hand wash awareness, clean up the school premises and create awareness among the community regarding environment are the programmes in this drive. Teachers, students and parents praised this initiative by Adani Foundation.
