Bhubaneswar: at least five persons including woman and two minors were killed after a SUV they were traveling in suffered an overturn and plunged into a roadside nullah near Sukala Chhak on Nua Jagannath Sadak here.
The deceased have been identified as K Krishna (50), Jagdish (40), Khyamabati (40), Abnan (7), Yamabati (5). All the victims are residents of Patrapur in Ganjam district.
Police said, at least 12 persons of a family were returning home after performing ‘Asthi Bisarjan’ (immersion of ashes) in Puri sea when the tragedy struck late in the night.
