Bharat loses one of its Ratna on the passing away of its most charismatic Leader Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
He was ‘Bhishma-Pitamah’ of Indian Politics having ‘atal’ desire to serve the people. He was true ‘Ajatashatru’ in Indian politics who started with left, stayed with right till the death but loved by left, right and center. He was soft but had guts. He conducted the Pokhran test despite international pressure. His quick response ‘Operation Vijay’ saved Kargil. He was a great consensus keeper who ran successfully the coalition Govt of 13 parties. His political career of 60 years made him a political legend who served thrice as Prime Minister of India. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the only non-Congress leader to have completed a full term as Prime Minister. He was elected 10 times to the Loka Sabha and two times to Rajya Sabha.
His exemplary behavior and his statesmanship par excellence made him a great human being. He was darling of masses due to his deep sense of humor and unmatched oratory skills. He has changed the face of Indian economy during his tenure as PM. The National Highways Development Project and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana are two landmark projects of Vajpayee Govt for urban and rural India respectively.
Nation pays tributes to this great poet cum politician, an ardent thinker, a great statesman, leader and a great human being. He was a gem who will be in the hearts of the people forever.
