Bangalore: Alliance Air, a wholly owned subsidiary of Air India added Gulbarga to its list of destinations. Direct flight operations connecting Gulbarga with Bengaluru onwards to Mysuru began today i.e 27th December 2019.This is an RCS route under the UDAN scheme with daily frequency. The airline has deployed its 70 seater luxurious aircraft on this sector.
Flight 9I 897 departs from Mysuru at 0830hrs and arrives in Bengaluru at 0910hrs. Flight 9I 509 departs from Bengaluru at 0950hrs and arrives in Gulbarga at 1125hrs. Flight 9I 510 departs from Gulbarga at 1150hrs and arrives in Bengaluru at 1330hrs. Flight 9I 898 departs Bengaluru at 1400hrs and arrives in Mysuru at 1450hrs.
On Tuesday Flight 9I 897 departs from Mysuru at 1025hrs and arrives in Bengaluru at 1105hrs. Flight 9I 509 departs from Bengaluru at 1140hrs and arrives in Gulbarga at 1320hrs. Flight 9I 510 departs from Gulbarga at 1345hrs and arrives in Bengaluru at 1525hrs. Flight 9I 898 departs from Bengaluru at 1545hrs and arrives in Mysuru at 1640hrs.
Gulbarga is known as a sufi city famous for religious places like Khwaja Banda Nawaz Dargah, Sharana Basaveshwara Temple, Ladle Mashak and Buddha Vihar. It also has a fort built during Bahmani rule. The city has many domes like Hafth Gumbad (seven domes together) and Shor Gumbad.
With the addition of Gulbarga there are now 60 stations in Alliance air’s ambit.
