Allahabad: Allahabad HC dropped NSA charges against Dr Kafeel Khan and directed his immediate release. He was arrested for allegedly making a provocative speech against Citizenship Amendments Act (CAA) in December 2019. A division bench led by the Chief Justice Govind Mathur of the Allahabad HC quashes the NSA detention of Dr. Kafeel Khan. Calls his detention bad. HC sets free Dr. Khan from detention forthwith.
