Bhubaneswar: All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar today mourned for the departure of the magnificent soul of one of the greatest person of the country, the former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The person who was known for his economic reforms, elevation of the nuclear status of India, peace treaty with neighbors and various other reforms, had a far-sighted vision of improving the health infrastructure of the country in the underserved areas. As a result, 6 new AIIMS were set-up across the country. Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee laid the foundation for AIIMS, Bhubaneswar on July 15, 2003. The institute celebrates this day as the Institute’s Foundation Day every year until now.
The Director of the institute, Prof. Gitanjali Batmanabane delivered the condolence message on behalf of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar. It was followed by paying of homage by the faculties and the administrative staff members.
We are heartbroken for the departure of the beloved Shri Atal Ji from this world. May his soul rest in peace
